PS Higher Secondary School brings nostalgic memories of our lovely school days, to each and every one of
us. The teachers evinced keen interest in moulding us into ethical and value-based citizens. What we are
today is mainly because of our esteemed school.
It continues its glorious journey and as has been the tradition, the team of teachers continue to impart
knowledge and values in the students. Long live PS Higher Secondary School and a big thank you for what
the school done to us.
From,
Shri M.S.Sundara Rajan ,
President/ PS Higher Sec.School Alumni Association, (Former Chairman, Indian Bank)

It gives me great pleasure to share some of my thoughts on this Alumni Day. I was a student of the then P.S.High School from 1962 to 1968. In one of the meetings, the Commissioner of Police began his address as ‘Students of the great and glorious School’. All of us clapped continuously for five minutes. Unforgettable memories. Thanks to Pennathur Subramaniam Iyer, a great visionary, the school continuously holds its prestigious place in Mylapore. I cannot forget those years when the teachers were strict inside the class room and highly compassionate outside the class room. In particular, I would like to mention Shri Kuppuswamy Iyer, Shri Narasimhachariar and Shri Harihara Sharma. Apart from the subjects they taught, they were role-model for integrity, honesty and humility. These qualities helped me in my career as a Chartered Accountant and as a Teacher. The Educational system has undergone big changes and today there are many challenges in imparting quality education. I wish my sincere and good friend Shri C.V.Krishnan, Secretary/P.S.Higher Sec.School and also Dr R.Kala, Headmistress/P.S.Higher Sec.School continued success in preserving the culture of the school and at the same time improving the quality. It is our duty as alumni to help the school to raise its standards. I wish all my alumni friends Happy Navarathiri and Deepavali.
– Shri R.Sivakumar

P.S. Higher Secondary School has stood the test of time. The immaculate service of
this institution for over a century, particularly to the socially, educationally and
economically weaker sections of society, has to be studded in letters of gold in the
educational history of Tamil Nadu. To be an Alumnus of this esteemed institution is a
matter of immense pride. I have the pleasure of being closely associated with the
school since 2017. Our 1985 – 1992 Alumni batch was able to contribute whatever
little was possible from our end. Under the guidance of Secretary, Thiru C.V. Krishnan
and stewardship of Headmistress Dr. R. Kala and Asst. Headmaster Dr. M. Panneer
Chelvan, I am sure this institution is destined to reach great heights. Best wishes.
