“Our School’s iconic heritage building, with its graceful fountain and the Saraswathi logo symbolizing knowledge and grace, remains etched in my memory. The wooden stairs that creaked beneath our feet, the aroma of mid-day meal sambar drifting through long corridors, and the vast playgrounds shaded by tamarind trees, filled with laughter and cheers for the
underdogs, still linger in my heart. Our teachers made learning a joy — from “Riders of Geometry” to the elegy “The Death of a Mad Dog”, and through the wit and wordplay of Ki. Va. Ja.’s guest lectures — nurturing curiosity, friendship, and an enduring academic fervor. The well-stocked library, film shows, science labs, and sports kits were remarkable for a free school,
sustained by the vision of Sri P.S. Iyer and the blessings of Lord Kapaleeshwarar.
